Atlantic Canada Climate Network

The Full Story

Welcome to Atlantic Canada Climate Network!

We are a dedicated initiative working towards tackling the urgent and complex challenges of climate change through a collaborative and interdisciplinary approach. Our mission is to foster a network of individuals, organizations, and stakeholders who are committed to addressing climate change and building a resilient future.

At ACCN, we recognize that climate change is not a standalone issue but intersects with various sectors and areas of concern. From food security to water resources, energy transition to infrastructure resilience, biodiversity loss to economic and social equity, climate change impacts are far-reaching and interconnected.

Through our project, we aim to explore these intersections and promote a systems perspective on climate change. We believe that by understanding and addressing the interdependencies between climate change and other pressing issues, we can develop effective and holistic solutions.

Our network brings together experts, researchers, practitioners, policymakers, and community members from diverse backgrounds to foster collaboration, knowledge exchange, and collective action. Together, we strive to advance our understanding of the multifaceted nature of climate change and its impacts, while identifying innovative strategies to mitigate and adapt to these challenges.

Join us in our journey towards a sustainable and resilient future. Explore our resources, participate in our events and discussions, and connect with like-minded individuals who are passionate about addressing climate change and its intersecting issues.

Together, we can make a difference and create a world where environmental sustainability, social equity, and economic prosperity thrive hand in hand.

Vision

This project aims to establish the Atlantic Canada Climate Network (ACCN) as a place where people make meaningful connections, share resources, learn about the work others are doing, collaborate, and reduce duplication of efforts, all in the name of effective and efficient climate action. Rather than reinventing the wheel, we will bring people together with complementary knowledge and skills to ensure their hard work has a bigger, better, and faster impact on climate action than it would otherwise have without connections made through the ACCN.

Mission

The mission of the Atlantic Canada Climate Network is to unite all Atlantic Canadians looking to take action against climate change, support those who are developing or working on projects currently, and empower the forgotten voices in one of Canada’s most threatened regions by global climate change. The network aims to break down silos and create impact by connecting people, sharing resources, and creating movement.
