About the event

Monthly Community of Advocacy Meetings (Third Thursday, 7 PM AT, Monthly)

The Atlantic Canada Climate Network (ACCN) is hosting monthly Community of Advocacy meetings to empower residents to drive climate action.

We recognize the power of grassroots initiatives and the importance of supporting resident-led climate projects. These meetings will provide a platform for knowledge exchange, skill-building, and collective advocacy. By connecting with like-minded individuals, residents can amplify their voices, build capacity, and create meaningful change in their communities.

Join our community to benefit from:

  • Monthly gatherings to share experiences, challenges, and successes

  • Practical workshops on advocacy, communication, and project management

Atlantic Canada Climate Network operates on the unceded territory of the Mi'kmaq, Wolastoqiyik, Passamaquoddy, Penobscot, and Abenaki nations, or, The Wabanaki Confederacy, as well as Innu, and Inuit Peoples.

This territory is covered by the “Treaties of Peace and Friendship”, which these nations first signed with the British Crown in 1726. The treaties did not deal with the surrender of lands and resources, but in fact, established the rules for what was to be an ongoing relationship between nations.
