About the event

The Coalition for Responsible Energy Development in New Brunswick (CRED-NB) is fighting for a nuclear-free renewable energy future. New Brunswick can meet its future energy needs with renewable energy and storage technologies.

The world is transitioning to clean non-emitting power systems.  The old guard continues to cling to legacy power plants and propose wildly expensive and unproven new small reactor designs while affordable innovative renewable energy solutions race ahead. We will explore the current state of renewable energy, its reliability, state of the art technology and technology coming to market, and solutions for New Brunswick energy systems.

About our Presenter: Tom McLean retired from a career in software development to focus on contributing to climate change action, especially in the realm of green power and electrification. He follows the rapidly accelerating developments in the global clean energy industry while looking for effective affordable solutions for New Brunswick. He has presented to the New Brunswick Standing Committee on Climate Change and Environmental Stewardship on transitioning to renewable energy and to the Select Committee on Climate Change on electric vehicles.
