About the event
The Atlantic Canada Climate Network and the Canadian Environmental Network (RCEN) are excited to present the Innovation Speaker Series, a dynamic platform that showcases cutting-edge emergent technologies and their potential to advance climate solutions and create new opportunities. Join us for an inspiring event as we highlight the remarkable work of ARC Clean Technology, Inc.
ARC Clean Technology Canada, Inc. (ARC) is a clean energy technology company developing the ARC-100, an advanced small modular reactor (aSMR) offering inherently safe, reliable, and economical carbon free power. Leveraging proven technology from the 30-year performance of its prototype, the ARC-100’s simple, modular design provides 100 megawatts of electricity and industrial heat that will be cost competitive with fossil fuels. Important applications include the decarbonization of heavy industry, the fueling of low-carbon hydrogen projects, and the creation of life-saving medical isotopes. The ARC-100 has been selected by New Brunswick Power for implementation on their Point Lepreau site with completion by the end of this decade. ARC Clean Technology Canada, Inc. has offices in Saint John, New Brunswick and is a subsidiary of ARC Clean Technology Inc. based in Washington, DC.Â
Join us on January 16th at 1 PM AT as we welcome  Manager of Engagement & Environment at ARC Clean Technology, where she directs and monitors business activities with various stakeholders, supports environmental assessment activities, and leads numerous engagement and outreach initiatives to grow knowledge and support for the nuclear industry. Eager to make a difference in her community, Fawn joined the board of Sustainable Saint John in 2019, initiated and co-leads the New Brunswick Women in Renewable Energy (WIRE) chapter in 2022, is a founding member of United Way’s GenNext Saint John, Kings & Charlotte cabinet, and has initiated and is a Chair for the North American Young Generation in Nuclear (NAYGN) New Brunswick Industry chapter. As an environmentalist, Fawn is proud to be working in the nuclear industry developing advanced energy solutions to mitigate climate change while promoting economic growth.
