About the event

The Atlantic Canada Climate Network and the Canadian Environmental Network (RCEN) are excited to present the Innovation Speaker Series, a dynamic platform that showcases cutting-edge emergent technologies and their potential to advance climate solutions and create new opportunities. Join us for an inspiring event as we highlight the remarkable work of Plaex Building Systems Inc.

PLAEX Building Systems Inc. is on a mission to transform construction by producing environmentally responsible, innovative building materials from overlooked waste streams. Their sustainable, modular solutions not only withstand natural disasters and pests but also reduce carbon footprints and save time, labour, and energy costs.

Their groundbreaking composite technology can process a wide array of challenging-to-recycle thermal plastic waste, including agricultural and marine plastics, alongside dry aggregates like plaster, concrete, brick, and glass. This versatile approach allows them to supply materials for diverse low-rise construction projects, from flood walls to residential sheds, all while nearing residential certification.

Join us on January 16th at 1 PM AT as we welcome Justin Bowers, Founder and CEO of PLAEX Building Systems Inc. With over two decades of experience in various construction areas, Justin embarked on this journey in 2017 to address the construction industry's waste crisis. His innovative modular construction block system is low-waste, no-cut*, reusable, and primarily crafted from recycled materials, making it a game-changer in sustainable construction.  To learn more about Atlantic Canada Climate Network, you can contact the ACCN team at atlanticcanadaclimatenetwork@climatereality.ca.
