About the event
Join us and help the push for a 1 year moratorium in New Brunswick against AI data Centre approval. Over the next three months we will be working to coordinate efforts to educate the public and our elected officials on the harms of data centres in local communities and vital ecosystems. We are looking for leads in every region of the province to help mobilise towards a day of action when Legislature resumes this fall. We're looking for people with trust, local connection, and follow-through, not only people with prior activist experience:
- People already involved in watershed, conservation, gardening, coastal, forestry, or land-use groups.
- Union stewards, labour-council members, retired public servants, teachers, nurses, and energy-sector workers.
- Residents who have fought a rezoning, landfill, quarry, industrial development, clear-cutting, or water issue.
- Neighbourhood association members and rural community organizers.
- People with municipal-process knowledge: former councillors, planning professionals,…
